I am faced with a recent situation and I need something that I'm sure all
of us tech writer-types have plenty of...an opinion and some advice. I just
interviewed for an Oil and Gas company and I'm very interested in working
there. Now, I am trying to go independent and wanted to do so here but,
they told me I need to have the "2 million dollar" insurance and suggested
I go through a temp agency, and gave me a list.
Now, I have never worked for a temp agency and personally don't like the
idea of someone else making money off of my work. I don't need benefits,
just money. However, is there a way I can get my own insurance? This is
something like Workers Comp insurance or being bonded, I'm not sure. I plan
to make more phone calls today and find out.

If anyone out there has experienced this please let me know the best course
of action.
