piece of software - everything from Crystal Reports
to FrameMaker to Visio - as a requirement.
That's because HR writes the Help Wanted ads. They don't know anything about
tech writing beyond the fact that the team at their place uses <tool list>.
That's why there is nothing wrong with answering "yes" to their questions
about tools. The actual hiring manager that you will be working for
understands that a decent tech writer is proficient at JIT (Just In
Time)training.
