My all-time favorite was the Hot Springs meat market (butcher shop, not a
singles bar) that advertised that their meats were "at a less than
competitive price."

A slogan I once saw on the back of a truck... I kid you not...
"Excellence Unattained"
I think perhaps they meant to say "unsurpassed," but the slogan they painted
on the truck was probably more accurate...
