Can anyone recommend a good book, or books, to help me quickly learn how to
use Macromedia DreamWeaver?

Claire,

If you are a visual learner (like me), you may find the following two books helpful.

Visual Quickstart Guide:Dreamweaver for Windows and Macintosh by J.Tarin Towers, Peachpit Press, ISBN 0-201-70240-1, US$19.99 list price

Teach yourself visually: Dreamweaver 3 by Mike Wooldridge, IDG Books, ISBN 0-7645-3470-X, US$29.99 list price

They are task-based, the lessons are short and well illustrated with short textual explanations.

If you need more detail you may consider:

Dreamweaver 3 for Dummies by Janine Warner and Paul Vachier, IDG Books, ISBN 0-7645-0669-2, US$24.99 list price

I am currently creating a web site using Dreamweaver and find these books very useful.
