Another perspective on job-hopping: the spouse. Some people must leave jobs
frequently because they are uprooted by the significant other. I hate to
admit that my job situation is not completely in my own hands: but I did
choose this path.
My husband is military and we've moved three times in three years. For
online freelance work, it didn't matter. But as you can imagine, I've had a
few jobs (some with the same company). I think a lot of employers cringe
from military spouses because it's almost certain that we'll be around for a
shorter time than others. But I have to reveal that I'm a military spouse,
because it's been the reason, three times out of four, that I've left a job.
