This seems like a good time for my perennial plug for what I consider the
best writing book in the English language, "Style: 10 Lessons in Clarity and
Grace" by Joseph M. Williams. Besides being a treat to read, it's
particularly useful for tech writers who need to turn engineer-speak into
clear and direct English. Each chapter has exercises you can use in class.
