One I've used along the way is FullShot (I believe the company URL is http://www.inbit.com ) Unless they've changed something recently, you
should be able to download a 30-day trial version that you can test
drive to see if it meets your needs.
As to adding callouts, is there some reason the callout feature in
Word 97 / 2000 doesn't do the trick?
