At what age did you enter the technical writing profession?

Started tech writing at 22, but began in the industry at the tender age of
almost 17, as a trainee tech illustrator. Drifted through most bits of the
business (layout, paste-up, photolitho, catalogue compiling, editing and
proofreading) until I found something I really enjoyed doing - 13 years
later (and writing about everything from washing machines and trains to
attack helicopters and submarines), it's still fun!
