Untrained, can't read music, garble lyrics when I sing along in the car,
crackling soprano, but I grew up singing, solo and in groups, in Sunday
school, at summer camp concerts (O Holy Night, for gosh sakes), in school
(Get Me to the Church On Time) and Christmas pageants, in Canadian Girls in
Training (I forget for what, didn't take), junior church choir, senior choir
(to get out of Sunday school), and my mom (church and community choir
stalwart, gets requests in last wills to sing at funeral services) and I
sang at my oldest friend's wedding (The Rose).
Strange -- that kind of describes my writing history as well.
