What about the GMAT? Any writers take that?
I need to take it again. (FWIW, I recognize that the MBA is a corporate tool
that in no way measures your ability to succeed--but hey, I'm contemplating
various ways to break through the glass ceiling imposed on our profession.)
I took the GMAT 7 years ago and did dramatically better on the reading
comprehension (almost perfect score) than on the math part (average score).
This was strange, because up to that point I had always considered myself to
be equally competent in math class as in English. I wonder if it has
anything to do with the demographics of the MBA aspirant? Because the
reading section was pretty darned easy, at least on the test they
administered 7 years ago.
As an Economics major, I was exposed to plenty of math and logic-based
courses. I didn't do much writing in college. Sortof weird how I fell into
this career. Reminds me of when Morpheus told Neo, "There is a difference
between walking the path, and knowing the path."
