Hi,

How do technical publications managers work with technical trainers within a company? Is there any general boundary between content that is appropriate for documentation vs. training?

One company I interviewed with seemed to divide content as follows:

Documentation: installation and reference guides
Training: user and administration guides (frequently used "how to" content)

Is this typical?

Is it just me or does it appear that there is a trend toward greater demand for training materials/presentations over printed (pdf'd) documentation?

-thanks,
Carol Chung
