Outlook Express problem of sending email to a group with hundreds of email addresses
Subject:Outlook Express problem of sending email to a group with hundreds of email addresses From:"Frank" <taylor_f -at- netvision -dot- net -dot- il> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Tue, 3 Jul 2001 23:12:31 +0200
I am working with Office 97 on Windows 98.
I am using Outlook Express version 5.00
I have a group within my Address Book, into which I have entered +/- 1000
email addresses.
When I try to send a small email (77K) to the group, I get an error message
"The message could not be sent because its size exceeded the server's
limit."
My ISP tell me that a thousand email addresses is too big a file to send as
Outlook Express cannot cope with it.
Short of manually re-entering the 1000 names again into separate groups of
around say 200 names, (hours and hours and hours of work!) how can I either
copy the existing names to separate groups within Outlook Express and then
delete from each group around 700 names and then try to send - or copy them
to Outlook proper and try to send from there?
I've searched help files in both programs without success.
Oh Lord! Surely one of our brethren has the answer - may he/she reply
speedily!
Regards
Frank
