It has been a while for you, hasn't it? COBOL is an all but dead language, and
BASIC is something they teach in elementary school. C and C++ are viable
options, as are Java and Visual Basic. I can tell you that with C/C++ and Java
on our resumes, we get a lot more interest than if we didn't have them. We
happen not to speak Visual Basic but it hasn't been an issue for us, ever.
