Re: Ventura vs. Framemaker
I'm currently reviewing several
applications, including FrameMaker, Forehelp
Premiere and Dreamweaver, for
our printed/online documentation needs.
One other option is Ventura; however,
I've heard that these days, it isn't
very good, not used by many, and
quite likely for the chop. Is this true?
Should I devote some time to it?
Thanks,
Paul,
Ventura has lost a great deal of market share, and is now not viewed as a good candidate for large scale documentation. It has some drawbacks, and some advantages. The best you can do is to review the software in its current version versus your other options and make your decision based on what you want to do and what your future demands may include.
