Kathy Frost reports that the menus and toolbars are missing in her copy of
Word 2000.
---
You can "retrieve" the missing screen furniture in the VBA Editor. Try this:
1. Open Word.
2. Press Alt+F11 -- the VBA Editor opens.
3. If necessary, open the Immediate window (View->Immediate Window).
4. In the Immediate Window, type
Application.CommandBars("Menu Bar").Visible = True
then press Return. This should recover the menu bar.
5. Close the VBA Editor.
6. In Word, display the toolbars you require. For each toolbar, right-click
the menu bar, then click the required toolbar.
