I have edited several manuals that say "a SQL," never "an SQL," because in
the industry where I work, SQL is pronounced "sequel." This would support
the rules mentioned in this discussion.

By the way, I just got downsized from my job as Senior Technical Writer /
Documentation Manager. If you know of any opportunities in the San Antonio
(TX) area, I'd appreciate the lead.
