TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
A technical writer from another department has approached me several times during the past few days with issues she's been having with FrameMaker 6.0 and Hijaak Pro. For some reason, when she installed Hijaak Pro on her NT machine, the graphics in FrameMaker 6 will not display on the monitor. The graphics remain in place and can be imported and printed out just fine, but they won't display.
It's not a "super" critical problem, but she has to guestimate cropping and where to place arrows. She's called FrameMaker support, uninstalled Hijaak and reinstalled Frame without much luck. Has anyone experienced a similar problem?
