I'm preparing a presentation on automation for teachers who manually
proofread reams of student-transcribed medical reports. The redlining
feature of Word does an adequate job of identifying deviations from a
master key, but an extremely useful addition would be a detailed
summary of redlining changes.
The only product I've found that comes close is DeltaView, but with a
$5000 minimum licensing fee, this is out of the question for teachers
who provide their own tools out of pocket. Is there another shelf
product I've missed? CompareRite has been withdrawn and DocuComp
ended up absorbed into Adobe (which will tally changes but not
summarize them). Have you run across a script (or written one
yourself) that does this?
Thanks for any input. And since this probably isn't a general
interest topic for this group, please reply directly to me.
