1. With risk of sounding overly traditional here I do not believe that one
lie justifies another. Just because a company "exaggerates" to make money,
it does not make it ok for you to do it - even to them.
2. I totally agree with this statement. If HR was the indicator of how a
business was run, I do not think I would work anywhere. I may start my own
business! Let me also say that I know there are exceptions to this rule.
3. Yes. Pay stubs can be obtained and/or requested from previous
employers. Also, some HR people state your title, your income, your dates
of employment, and whether or not you are eligible for re-hire. Not all HR
people keep these figures under lock and key.
