TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
FrameMaker and RoboHelp are different tools for different purposes. They are
as alike as, well, not apples and oranges, maybe apples and potatoes.
If you are unfamiliar with FrameMaker, chances are you'll not favor it.
FrameMaker is currently at version 6; I recommend you evaluate that version.
FrameMaker 5 was Adobe's first FrameMaker release, there were better
releases, such as 5.5.6 and 6.
Also, checkout the list at www.frameusers.com and FrameMaker forums at
www.adobeforums.com.
