As far as freelancing goes, you need to have the skills to bring to the
table, and know how to market them. Then all will fall into place provided
you live in/target a region that demands your skills and can afford to pay
for them.

With regard to teaching at a university, apply when you see ads for these
types of positions. Else, submit an idea for a course they don't already
host.

In either case, talk, talk, talk, and be ready to deliver.
