Another related issue: Watch your compression scheme when you compile. I
discovered if I used anything besides Zeck compression RoboHelp took it upon
itself to redirect my hyperlinks to another topic. I spent hours correcting
links only to find them moved again after compiling. I discovered that it
was the compression scheme that caused the problem. This does not appear to
have been fixed in RoboHelp 2000.

Subject: upgrading Word while using RoboHelp summary
> By popular demand, I'm giving a brief summary of what I found out about
upgrading Word while using RoboHelp. I learned the following:
>
> 1) Make sure your version of RoboHelp is compatible with the version of
Word you are upgrading to.
>
> 2) You must unistall RoboHelp, install the new version of Word, then
reinstall RoboHelp.

I don't remember exactly what it says, but if you do a search for upgrading
Word, you'll find a few topics that are helpful. I checked around in the
eHelp knowledge base and I couldn't find anything on upgrading Word. Maybe
someone out there will have better luck.

way, you will be sure to be able to update old help projects. (Just about
everyone who responded suggested this, so I'm assuming it's pretty
important.)

projects created with older versions.

upgrade problems?
