Just to give these figures some context, what sort of drop was there in other
high-tech jobs? Some companies consider writers a frill, so I'd expect the drop
to be greater than for other jobs, but I admit that I find even your corrected
figure somewhat unlikely. Maybe writers were somehow reclassified, or divided
into more than one category.
No offense intended, please understand, but the figure is way more than any I've
every heard, so I'm puzzled by it.
I've had fewer calls from recruiters in the last eight months, too. Even so, I
usually get a call every 2-3 weeks.
