| In the new Help technologies, especially the HTML-based Help
| systems, one of
| the "features" is that for whatever topic is being viewed, the
| corresponding
| entry in the system's table of contents is highlighted. But I have a
| question: how does this work for topics that are not in the TOC?
The "auto-sync TOC" feature is optional in the Help formats I am familiar
with it. You can enable or disable it for any particular helpset. If this
feature is enabled and the user jumps to a topic for which there is no TOC
entry, no TOC entry is highlighted. Simple as that. Shouldn't cause a
problem.
