You just have to know what to look for. :)
I know it's a media contact number, but those folks will know exactly what
fair use of the logo is, as the media uses corporate logos in stories all
the time.
Have your Marketing idiots, er, representatives call the number on that web
page and ask for permission and guidelines for use of HP's logo. (Honestly,
if it's their job to MARKET your products, they should know how to contact a
company for endorsement.)
Actually, if you did work for HP for which you're writing the success story,
then I think it's a safe bet that someone in your company has a contact at
HP through which the information can be attained.

Thanks for the advice. I looked all over the site for big computer company
(which is HP) and wasn't able to find what I need. I have written a Customer
Success Story about HP and how they are using our product in their online
support center, but I am having trouble figuring out where to get the
approval to post it. The people I interviewed at HP weren't at all helpful
in directing me to a contact. The legal statement that I found just told me
how to link to their site. Part of my problem is that I don't have lots of
time on my hands to research this. I was hoping that our marketing people
could take over, so I can get back to writing.
Thanks again for your help,
