Here's another tip: Don't use Word's "Save as HTML" function. When you do
this, Word puts lots of Office-specific markup into the HTML file to enable
"round-tripping" (reopening the HTML file in Word, editing it, and saving
the changes).

Instead, use Microsoft's "MS Office 2000 HTML Filter 2.0 (you can get it at
http://office.microsoft.com/downloads/2000/Msohtmf2.aspx). This filter lets
you "export to" HTML instead of "saving as." The result is much smaller,
cleaner HTML files.
