In the last 6 weeks I've had a dozen calls and 4 interviews and missed each
of them by "that much". (Well, I would have gotten one of them, but at the
last minute, the CEO decided all the contracting in my resume meant I'm
unstable.). I think the competition is still too tight. Too few jobs, too
many writers to choose from/.
Today I got a reply to a resume I sent out yesterday, just the usual form
letter to say we got it, we'll call maybe later. The hiring person
(manager, HR, unknown)for some reason not only did a single mailing to all
his applicants (which is fine), he put all our addresses in an open cc:
list. 50 names.
Things getting better? Not in L.A.
