For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.

Bonnie - and everyone - perhaps these OT posts are not technically "spam" but they
are definitely not related to technical writing, and they reflect personal or
political opinions. In contrast to what we saw Tuesday and Wednesday on this
board, today's OT posts have been more judgmental, more critical, less
informative. I can well understand why emotions might be rather high, but this
isn't the place to vent. There are other media for that.
In particular, telling someone he's "a disgrace to the technical writing
profession" is highly inappropriate for this list - it's name calling and it's
specifically prohibited in the rules.
