Yes... "typo" is the gentle way of pointing out errors in grammar (gramer?),
spelling and usage.
It's much easier for someone to accept that they made a mistake in typing
(which everyone does) than that their use of the language is lacking -
although in my experience, I find both types of errors about equally common.
It's kind of us to assume that they _meant_ to type the right thing, but
that their fingers slipped - rather than that they failed to pay attention
to their teachers during their x years of schooling. It's gentler on the ego
and doesn't cost us a thing.
Maybe it's a mute point? :)
