My own howler came not at my tech writing job but at my part time job as the
clerk with my Air National Guard Band. I typed up a report about "... the
recruiting efforts of A1C Fecke and SrA Drury" which the spell checker
changed to "... the recruiting efforts of A1C Feces and SrA Dreary". Of
course, I didn't notice it and only found out about it when I saw the
commander turning purple and choking with laughter.
