I've only ever mentioned hobbies in reply to ones that the interviewer
mentioned. For example, someone once quoted a line from my favorite movie
Raising Arizona and I told him that I had just bought that DVD.
Perhaps the fact that some of my hobbies have stigmas related to them (like
the fact that I do the Woody Allen FAQ) might explain some of my silence.

Tom, I think this may be one of those cultural differences between the UK
and the US. Over here, it's fairly usual to mention (right at the end) some
personal interests: the idea is that it can't hurt and it might catch an
interviewer's interest... Though it's true, the next time I have to
re-organise my CV that's what is likely to be what falls off the end.
