Does anybody know how to calm down Word 2000's scrolling functionality?
Recently, when I try to select a lengthy portion of text, as I begin to
scroll down, my cursor leaps far past where I want it to go, so rapidly
that I can't stop it. Then as I back up, the same thing happens, this time
in the opposite direction.

This didn't used to be the case (nice grammar, huh?), and the overly-perky
scroller is driving me crazy!

I know other selection techniques (hold down Shift and use the arrow keys,
etc.) but I'd still like to figure out how to give Word's scroller a
Valium. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!
