I'd agree with Ellen that "any" is preferable.
"Either" as a conjunction can head up a choice of more than two
alternatives, but otherwise its common usage implies one or another.
Your question has aroused my latent desire to purchase a really good
dictionary of English usage for those pressured times when the brain remains
numb and what one knows has become clouded with doubt!
