Subject:Dual-monitor system with Word? From:Sandra_Bauer <sandrabauer -at- pigeon -dot- carleton -dot- ca> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Wed, 17 Oct 2001 09:42:53 -0400
Greetings people,
This is my first posting to this group after lurking for a few
weeks. I am a University calendar editor, new to the position.
I seek your advice on a technical matter. I am required to
compare documents side-by-side fairly often. My current
monitor is a 17", so I am considering moving to a dual-monitor
system to better enable on-line viewing rather than printing
them out every time. (Either that or move toward the purchase
of a much larger monitor which we may not have the budget
for at this time)
Does anyone have experience working with dual monitors?
Is such a configuration feasible with Word, which is what
I am using? I have already received an opinion from a technical
person on campus that Word may not be able to accomodate
such an arrangement.
I would appreciate your words of wisdom or advice on this.
Sincerely,
Sandra
