Re: what's *.dat?
I've received a file with the format *.dat. I've no idea what it could be. I
can't open it. Any ideas? Thanks.
It's probably a database file of some sort; that extension is used by many different database programs. It's also possible that it's an MPEG file; that extension is used for some MPEGs, and in fact on my computer, that's the registered application for that extension -- which I need to change one of these days.
