I've greatly speeded up the word to frame importation process by using
paragraph tools (which cost just $10) from www.siliconprairiesoftware.com
which is a frame plugin that substitutes your frame para tags for whatever
came in with the word doc, and can delete any left over tags - its so cheap
its not worth not buying.

Not easily. Frame can open and save Word docs as FM,
but from FM you have to go to RTF to go back to Word.
Plus, there is potential style/formatting loss that
you have to consider. I suggest picking a tool and
using it rather than trying to migrate between the two.
