Don't count on establishing a permanent relationship with an agency or even a
consulting firm. If they have a job for you, cool. When this contract is over,
they may not (probably won't) have the next one waiting for you. Someone else
might. Or not.
If it's a permanent job, and it ends, the same agency may be there but not the
agent.
And so on. I think I've only gotten work from the same agency at all (never
mind in a row) once, even ones with whom I had terrific relationships. Oh wait.
I did temps for Kelly a number of times some years ago, but that was office
temps. This week KellyIT got me a real job--contract to hire. (yea me!) Not
bad for a 10-year gap in our relationship. They found my resume on Monster.
