It would help me/them if the total cost of ownership was lower. Linux can't
be generally accepted so long as it comes in so many varieties where every
single version works slightly differently. Perhaps we should be asking the
open source community to start a "standardization" special interest group
and a "marketing" special interest group. After all, we know that TECHWR-L
has power after the e-help fiasco! I get the impression that the Open Source
community consists entirely of "techies" is that right? That could explain
why it is so underrepresented.
