>We've updated the TECHWR-L Poll with a new question:
>What do you, a technical writer, USUALLY do when you
>find UI errors in software you are documenting?
Any or all of the following:
* Fix the errors yourself
* Report the errors informally
* Report the errors to management
* Document the errors as they stand
* File a bug against the software
I USUALLY do whatever's the most appropriate solution for the error in
question, which depends on the nature of the error, the development system
in use, the status of the software, the immediacy of the deadline, my access
to the software, the developers, the management, the bug database, etc. But
I can't twist "other/none of the above" to mean "Whichever is
appropriate"... so I guess my answer is null.
