What I´d recommend as a German FM user: Don´t buy the font and
make sure that the translators activate "Remember missing font
names" in FrameMaker in "File | Settings" (in German:
Voreinstellungen).
Thus when the translator translates your text he/she uses any
font they like. When you get the FM files back it automatically
uses Rotis again.
This procedure worked for me and I don´t see any reason why
it shouldn´t work for you as well.
There shouldn´t be any problems with font encoding as German
umlauts are all in the regular ANSI code. The same with
French, Spanish etc. Only when you want to translate into East
European or Asian languages you have to use another font with
another font encoding than ANSI.
If you are still unsure: buy the font as others have recommended.
Hope that helps.
Cheers,
Winfried
