I also (big controversial topic) took an online Technical Writing
Certificate course where I learned specifically how creative writing and
technical writing differ (i.e., presentation, content, style and tone, etc.,
etc., etc).
My comment:
I'm new to this list and am currently taking a Technical Writing Certificate
through Humber College (Toronto, ON, Canada), The classes can be taken
either in a traditional classroom or online. I "fell" into some technical
writing and now I want to gain a framework on which to hang my knowledge as
well as expanding my current knowledge base. There is a huge difference
between creative writing and technical writing.
