Add me to the ranks of the unemployment check recipients: I got dumped last
week. (Note the new email address)
My sob story: Came back from vacation raring to go and got the news that
afternoon. Unfortunate timing on my part--we had a major shake up about two
days before I left (eight-week-old CEO moved out, two-week-old CTO moved
up). Just my bad luck I blew through a couple thou in savings and two weeks
vacation pay. Ouch it hurts.
Not as painful as the Seattle job market, though! And the Boeing
pink-slipped mob are coming down the pike in December. Probably only half
of those are writers, though.
Life is tough. Maybe I'll finish that novel.
