?? ... er... some people consider 1-hour each way to be
a breathlessly quick daily commute...
Others, of course, might be looking at that as a good
argument for telework/telecommute.
Without much fanfare, my own company finally enabled VPN
login via the employee's ADSL. (That is, they haven't offered
to pay for a DSL connection, but if you've got one for your
own use, then you no longer need to dial in at 56K or less.)
Have any of you seen teleconferencing (either proprietary,
high-bandwidth systems, or [s]low-res via web-cam) making
inroads on your business travel?
