Since Eric started this thread, I'm taking the liberty of responding one more time with an anecdote.

A few years ago, the Phila FBI field office upgraded their computers and put the old ones out to a reseller. But someone in house forgot to even wipe them and a 7 yr database of confidential informants--including cases, info, contact information, etc, went out to the reseller with the computers! One end user realized what he had purchased and reported the error. The story appeared on the news *once*, requesting that anyone who had bought the computers please return them, and why...; )
