Has anyone ever bought anything from an eBay auction - is it
fairly safe?
-and-
does anyone have any ideas on where you can buy an
Older Version of Adobe Framemaker for Windows?
I have bought and sold on ebay several times, and my brother makes about
half his living selling sports memorabilia there.
Two years ago, I bought a laser printer on ebay. I was a bit unsure about
the deal, so I went through an escrow company. I sent my money to the
escrow company. They notified the seller that I had paid. The seller
shipped the printer to me. I notified the escrow company that I received
the printer and was satisfied with it. They released the payment to the
seller. Everyone was happy. :-)
It cost about $20 to do it, which was very well worth it for my peace of
mind.
A man from my church bought a previous version of FrameMaker on ebay,
filled out paperwork to have the license transferred from the original
owner to himself (an idea I passed on to him from this list, so a big thank
you to whomever the idea came from), and now qualifies for upgrades. It
worked out great for him.
Hope this helps.
