As a freelancer, I make it a point to own the tools I'll need on the job. So I
do have Frame, and RoboHelp, and Office, etc. It's just part of the
expense of staying in business. I have clients for whom I work on-site,
and where I can't put my own machine on the LAN so I use their
computers and software, but it's handy to be able to bring files home. So
far, my clients have expected me to have all the software - no one seems
unduly impressed or surprised when I mention the programs I have *
sigh*. I keep my software as up to date as I can afford. Also, I like Frame
6 better than 5.x.
If I were an employee, I probably would not buy copies for home use.
That's what employers are for. And if I can't deduct it, I don't buy it,
most of the time. Hehehehe.
