Subject:Using References in your work From:"Sue" <skirk -at- iprimus -dot- com -dot- au> To:"TECHWR-L" <techwr-l -at- lists -dot- raycomm -dot- com> Date:Wed, 26 Dec 2001 17:26:42 +1000
Is it acceptable to use references in your work? and how much is
acceptable? As a new writer I cant help feeling that I should be
writing every word myself, however, I am a firm believer in NOT
reinventing the wheel, and where there is credible and intelligent
writings from others, naturally I like to use it, saves me time and yes
thanks to you lot I managed to snag my first writing contract!!
(learning guides for course curriculum)
Any thoughts would help me tremendously.
I have sent a mentor application off to the relevant people but I
wondered if anyone is interested in helping me (interest is
instructional design/writing/Vocational Education/training) would they
mind contacting me, I need help quickly and would even just appreciate
through this project to help me get started. Thanks and Happy New Year.
