You might consider writing for soaps after "There was a further consensus
that
most people have no idea what UTC is". I got very excited and thought you'd
tell us - well what else would a tech writer get excited about? The
cliffhanger to end all cliffhangers ;-)
I realised this was a very desk potato kind of attitude so google'd my way
to http://www.dxing.com/utcgmt.htm
Now can anyone tell me how coordinated universal time became UTC? I'm used
to reading things back to front in France - for NATO read OTAN, for EEC read
CEE and so on - but this one escapes me.
Anyway here in Paris it's coming up to have a second cup of coffee and
things might start to seem clearer time.
