I need to be able to track changes and keep different edits categorized
properly, often in the same file. Also, I have to write huge sections, and
Quark makes my eyes go buggy when doing standard word processing.

My edits also consist of layout/style issues, so Master pages are going to
have to be fixed, and that can lead to problems if there is modification to
a page (the master won't change an already edited/modified page in Quark).

Overall, I love Quark for layout and in-chapter modifications, splicing,
re-arranging etc.. But when I have to take whole sections from one chapter,
rewrite it, and then place it elsewhere, it can be a pain (especially when
you have text box spill over and all that other fun Quark quirkiness).

PS: Thanks for everyone's responses so far. Obviously, there's some work
ahead, but the advice is sound! :)

Cheers,
