Re: Help! Trying to create text on a jpeg image for printing
I have a graph that i creating in Photoshop that is being prepared for
printing. The text tool in Photoshop creates text that appears fuzzy when
printed. I have tried creating clear text in programs like Pagemaker and
MS Word, converting them to pdf and bringing them into Photoshop, but the
fuzziness remains.
I have much of the Adobe suite to work with. Can anyone help?
Damn, I forgot. When you make the new photoshop document, make sure that the resolution (pixels/inch) specified in the 'New' dialog box is 2X the printer resolution (dots/inch). Text will be bright and sharp. You need no other software.
Thus: A 600 dpi laser printer requires 1200 ppi for original document resolution at full page size. The default (suggested) is 72ppi/96ppi for MAC/Other screen resolutions respectively. I regret my failure to clarify this critical point of resolution.
